How do I start using HORSESTATS?

 
It's easy to get started. Simply complete a quick signup form and select a either a 14 day trial or purchase a yearly subscription. You can add additional users at any time. Ready to go? Sign up now! Sales tax will be charged according to location, if applicable.)

What is the Startup Form?

 
The startup form is a series of questions about your horse operation. Certain data is used throughout HORSESTATS so you only have ot enter dats once. It takes five to ten minutes to complete the form.

Why don't I need to install any software?

 
HORSESTATS works just like your other software, but instead of installing it on your computer, you access it from any Internet connection. Although HORSESTATS can be access from any internet conneciton, to get the most out of your HORSESTATS experience we recommend a high-speed or broadband connection. There is no need need to worry about maintaining or networking any software, or losing valuable data due to computer or human error since now your data is backed up automatically. New features are added automatically so you never have to purchase or install additional software.

"Manage Your Horse Operation Online - Anywhere, Anytime" means you can manage your horse operation from anywhere with an Internet connection – from the road, a client site, or in your home office after hours, vets office, stable sale ring - anywhere! All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and your unique login and password. Your horse operation information are always updated and at your fingertips. (Registration, subscription, and Internet access required.)

Can my associates, veterinarian or off-site employees access my HORSESTATS information?

 
Most definately! Using the power of the Internet, HORSESTATS lets you give permission to other users to access your horse operation information. Imagine the time you could save when your vet (or anyone you designate) can view information right from his or her office or location. You have complete control over what level of information they access. And everyone works off the same updated information.

How many users can I sign up?

 
Up to 10 users can access your HORSESTATS data at the same time with permissions that you set. You may add new users at any time. Registration and acceptance of the license agreement is required.

Yes. You can choose to buy HORSESTATS now or you can start a free trial. When your free trial expires it is easy to enter your credit card and continue your yearly subscription with no loss of data.

What if my billing address is outside of the U.S.?

 
HORSESTATS was created with U.S. horse owners in mind, so it will work best for those in the U.S. and U.S. Territories. If you'd like to use it, you just need to have a credit card with a U.S. billing address.

How do I sign on to HORSESTATS?

 
  1. From the HORSESTATS home page click the "LOG ON" button on the right side of the screen.  enter your email address and password.

When will my account be available to use?
 
  1. You can use HORSESTATS immediately after signing on for either the 14-day trial or upon payment.

Will HORSESTATS send me a yearly renewal notice?
 
  1. You will receive an email notice 14 days prior to your yearly subscription expiring.

How do I edit my horses in HORSESTATS
 
  1. From the "My Horses" page click a horse you wish to edit.

Why is my photo displayed so large?

 
  1. Uploaded photos may be displayed differently depending on the computer and resolution being used.  As a rule all photos should be no larger than 285x185 pixels and logos should be no larger than 285x55 pixels.  Most any graphics program (including Windows - Paintbrush) can be used to edit large images.

What image formats are accepted by HORSESTATS?
 
  1. Although JPG is the recommended format HORSESTATS also accepts the standard image formats such as. GIF and .BMP.   Photos uploaded in formats other than these will result in the picture not being displayed.  However, we review all new listings and will attempt to reformat all photos into one of the accepted formats.

Can I add my link to your site? If so, how?
 
Sure!  If you have a horse related site, we would be glad to put a link on our page to your site. Please email your link info to info@HORSESTATS.COM.  You are also welcome to place a link from your site to HORSESTATS.

Why does HORSESTATS require a logon ID and password to?
 
A login name and password allow you to add and edit your own information at anytime.  Your email address  is actually your logon id and you select your password when you sign-up for HORSESTATS.

Are my login name and password on HORSESTATS  separate from the ones I use to access my Internet Access Provider?
 
Your login and password are completely independent of any ID's and passwords used to access the Internet from your computer.

Some features don't seem to work correctly in HORSESTATS - display formats are difficult to read or see.
 
You may be using an old browser that does not support features that are necessary for getting maximum benefit from HORSESTATS. We suggest as a minimum that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or Netscape Navigator version 7.0 (or later) or an equivalent browser so that you can take advantage of all of the features of HORSESTATS

I'm unable to locate my logon ID or password - can you send it to me?
 
Click the "Forgot Password?" link from the HORSESTATS home page.  Enter the email address used when signing up for HORSESTATS.   Your login ID and password will be emailed to you.

When will my data be available online?
 
This is an easy one - IMMEDIATELY!  As soon as data is submitted it's in our secure database where only you can access it.

How do I remove my horse data?
 
Any record or data can be deleted by clicking the delete icon within each section. Or you can delete a complete horse and all associated information by clicking the delete icon on the "My Horses" page.

My email address has changed. How do I update it?

How much are yearly subscriptions?
 
Yearly subscriptions are $32.99.  This allows you to add as many horses as you wish - there is no limit.  All enhancements to the service are included.  And you may cancel at anytime.

What is a Cookie?  
 
A cookie is a text-only string that gets entered into the memory of your browser. This value of a variable that a website sets. If the lifetime of this value is set to be longer than the time you spend at that site, then this string is saved to file for future reference.

What is 128-bit SSL encryption?
 
128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption is the highest level of encryption currently supported by commercial web browsers. This is the same type of security used by many financial institutions.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and above for Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows XP already include 128-bit encryption. If you have Windows 2000, you need to download the Windows 2000 High Encryption Pack to get 128-bit encryption, even if you have Internet Explorer 5.5 for Windows 2000. If you're running Internet Explorer 5.0 for Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows XP, then you can either upgrade to Internet Explorer 6.0 or download the Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack for Internet Explorer 5.0.

HORSESTATS servers are connected to a fiber ring backbone in a chilled datacenter utilizing powerful servers with SCSI RAID 1 and 5 configurations. All our servers are monitored 24/7 with e-mail and paging capability should anything go awry. We back up to tape daily and use UPS protection for emergency power backups. How do you ensure no one else can access my data?
 
Your HORSESTATS data is stored on firewall-protected servers. You have control over who accesses your HORSESTATS data and what they can see and do. Once you sign up, only the people whom you explicitly invite can access your data. Each user has a unique login and password.

Can HORSESTATS see my data?
 
Your data belongs to you and no one at HORSESTATS has access to your password. No one can see your information unless you authorize it or there is an unforeseen failure that requires repair. Usage information may be reported on in the aggregate to improve the product.

What happens if my Internet access is down?
 
You can access your data from any computer with an Internet connection. Any PC with at least Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 for Windows installed and a working Internet connection will let you access your QuickBooks Online Edition books (a high-speed Internet connection, such as DSL, a cable modem, or T1, is recommended).

How much is HORSESTATS and how do I pay?
 
Unlike other management systems who charge for each horse you add to your account.    HORSESTATS take a much more simplified approach to horse management.   You can add unlimited horses to your account for a small yearly membership fee of just $32.99.  We're constantly adding new features to HORSESTATS which are always free to you throughout the year. 

HORSESTATS
accepts all major credit cards.  HORSESTATS does not maintain ANY credit card databases and does not retain any credit card information.

How does the 14-day trial work?
 
Simply sign up for the trial and enjoy full access to HORSESTATS just as if you were a paying subscriber. You'll be up and running inno time at all. If you decide to subscribe at the end of your trial all your data will be saved for your continued use. (Use of this product requires acceptance of the license agreement. Registration and Internet access required for 14-day trial.)

As a trial user do I have complete access to HORSESTATS or just a portion?
 
As a trial user you have full use of HORSESTATS  to ad, edit, print, display and anything a paying subscriber can do.

What happens to my trial data if I decide to sign up?
 
As long as you subscribe before the 14-day trial is over, you will continue using the some data file already established. If you do not subscribe, your data will be removed within 5 days of the expiration of the 14-day trial period.

Can I try HORSESTATS without signing up for the trial?
 
Yes. If you don't want to enter your own data you can take our demo site for a ride.  You will be able to experience the look and feel, run reports, and try the complete service using data that's in place and ready to go.

No. Support is included in your subscription to HORSESTATS.

How do I get support?
 
If you need help or have a question, just click the Support link, which appears on every screen, and type in your question or problem. We make sure that a Service Consultant who is knowledgeable about your issue contacts you directly with the answer. Currently our Service Consultants are available via email 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday Central Standard Time. If you submit a question outside these hours, our Service Consultants will usually respond the next business day.
